Detroit rockers MC5 have lost a great with the death of guitarist Wayne Kramer.

MC5 formed in 1963 were considered as one of the greatest rock bands of all time

The band broke up amid government harassment, poverty, and drug abuse. For Kramer, this led to several years of battling drug addiction before returning to an active recording and performing schedule in the 1990s.

John Baker, champion of Rock and Roll music, joins Charlotte Ryan in the studio to talk about the MC5’s local influence.
