Personalised medicine, tailored to the characteristics of each individual patient's needs, has become a key focus for medical researchers. With this comes the need for implantable devices that can be inserted into the body to provide data for clinical and research use. Simon Malpas from Auckland University's Bio-Engineering Institute is one of the scientists who's been at the forefront of this work.
