My Name Was Judas by CK Stead - Part 13
Judas witnesses the crucifixion and is angry at himself and the others for not talking Jesus out of his suicidal course of action. The crucifixion shakes Judas and convinces him there is no god. God for him, at best, is extinct - if indeed he ever existed. Jesus' body is placed in the sepulche but the priests cannot allow that so they arrange for the body to be stolen. Thus begins the idea that Jesus rose from the dead.
