The North Queensland Cowboys made it three straights wins in the National Rugby League with a commanding 36-10 result over the Newcastle Knights in Townsville on Monday night.
The Cowboys continued their charge toward the top eight with a six-tries-to-two win, though their five-eighth Travis Burns limped off during the second half with a knee injury.
NSW captain Kurt Gidley also injured a knee during the match, but he's confident it won't rule him out of the first State of Origin match Wednesday week.
