Proteas embarrassed on opening day of Windies Test

The South African cricketers are 70 for three at stumps on the first day of the first Test against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.

Pouring rain and three wickets set the Proteas back in Port of Spain, after the South Africans chose to bat.

Bad light stopped play early on the rain-hit opening day at Queen's Park Oval, with only 34 overs possible in just over two hours of action, as the West Indies Cricket Board's decision to stage a Test in the middle of the Trinidad and Tobago wet season seriously backfired.
