Lee Fields is an American soul singer from North Carolina. Who has been belting out songs since the 60’s. His classic voice has seen him travel the world with his timeless sound. Now Lee is bringing his grooves to Aotearoa for a special one night only performance at the Hollywood Avondale in Auckland.

Maggie Tweedie caught up with the 73 year old stalwart of soul to learn more about his signature style and spirituality.

David Bowie's Serious Moonlight concert at Western Springs, took place almost 40 years ago - and still stands as one of the country's largest music events, with a crowd of well over 80,000. Otago University's David Bowie scholar, Dr Ian Chapman, looks back on this historic concert, which took place at very height of Bowie's international fame in 1983.
